Strange day so far

Today, after running some errands downtown, I was waiting for the bus at the corner of Chicago and Wabash and these two guys came up to me – one with a recorder, the other with a big camera – and asked if they could interview me. I said "sure!" and asked them what they wanted to know. They explained that they work for Time Out Chicago (a local magazine) and produce a column featured "interesting" people around the city each week. They asked me what I do for a living, what part of town I live in, etc. We covered a whole bunch of topics (Rahm Emanuel, the Chicago art scene, parrots...), and I let a couple buses go by while we talked. They took about 20 photos and then waved goodbye.

Then I went down to the south side to run an errand and found a big ring of keys on the ground by the bus stop at Halstead and Roosevelt. There were a ton of things other than keys on the ring, including a photo of a little boy in a heart-shaped holder. I found a Jewel preferred card thingie, so I called the customer service number on the back and told them I had found the keys and wanted to return them to their owner. I read the customer number to the woman, and she told me she would call the owner of the preferred card and let him/her know that I was dropping the keys off at the Jewel by Roosevelt and Wabash. I did just that and hope that the keys somehow make their way back to the owner. It would suck to lose that many keys, it felt like someone's whole life on a metal ring.
